Swatches

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in "Fuchsia Power"
It Is: Fuchsia. For real. Don't ever let anyone tell you that the Sally Hansen people aren't SUPER literal, because man alive, are they ever. No shimmer, no sparkle. All fuchsia, all the time.
It has: Incredible color payoff! This is one coat! The SH colors I've experienced so far have been really true to bottle, you never have to wonder what you're getting.
Tested on animals?: Probably not. They've released contrasting statements (one says they absolutely do not, one says they don't "test the final product" on animals), but the gist is no.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in "Mellow Yellow"
It is: Yellow! Make no mistakes about it - no glitter, no foolin'. Yellow.
It has: A bit of a thin formula, this is one of the few I've swatched that took two coats.
Tested on animals: Funny thing, that. In 2012, Sally Hansen made a bit of tersely worded statement on their Facebook page, imploring readers to notice that Coty (their parent company) is not on the PETA list of companies that test on animals. But, their own FAQ on their website says that they don't test any final products on animals. Which leaves it up to your personal level of optimism to decide what they're doing with individual ingredients. So, probably they don't, but again...

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in "Splash"
It is: A clear base, with blue and white dots. That aren't even glitter, or anything fun.
It has: A confusing formula. I think I'd be happier if the dots applied thicker. They're quite thin. It's a lot of fuss for no more than you get!
Tested On Animals?: The answers are a tiny bit varied, but the jist is no.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Beige of Honor"

It is: ...stay with me here. It's beige. This was actually marketed as part of a collection to promote the idea of nail art, and this would be a perfect base for all sorts of designs.
It has: The standard issue Sinful Colors brush. Nice formula, long lasting.
It lasts: Well. Made it a full week without so much as a chip to show for the wear!
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Burn Rubber"

It is: Highlighter orange. And this was released as part of a limited edition "textured" collection, so it doesn't dry smooth and glossy. If actually looks a little bit like an orange peel. If you look closely at the nail shot, you can see some of the texture. The textured version was limited edition, although I'm pretty confident in saying that they've no doubt released this color, glossy, before.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Cinderella"

It is: Powder blue, with a slight pink glimmer running throughout.
It has: A thin brush, and a thin formula. I've often thought the sinful colors line could use a little re-purposing. This color would be a tremendous, and very unique top coat. As a stand alone color, it's quite thin.
It lasts: I typically say Sinful Colors can go a full week, chip free. I didn't get but maybe five days out of this one.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Daredevil"

It is: Hot, hot, hot pink, with a slight pink opalesence to it.
It has: The standard issue Sinful Colors brush. Interestingly, it dries to a bit of a demi-matte finish. It's not fully matte, but it's not glossy. I say that's interesting, because it's pretty unique for Sinful Colors. :)
It lasts: I personally had quite a bit of trouble with longevity with this one, but it was problematic enough that I'd chalk it up to bad luck.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Glow In The Dark"

It is: Virtually clear. In the grand scheme of Sinful Colors that really just suffered for a lack of proper marketing...this may be their king. The bottle makes it look like a light, buttery yellow. The middle nail has this color applied. There's only the slightest tinge of yellow to it. Had this been marketed as a top coat, I wouldn't have been nearly so disappointed in it. :(
It has: The standard issue Sinful Colors brush.
It lasts: Honest, the one time I used this, I changed my polish after about 24 hours, so I'm not able to speak positively to it's longevity. But it's clear. If it chipped, who'd know?
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Gogo Girl"

It is: about as bright and true a red as you could look for. My son actually held this one up next to a different yellow in the store, and went "Hey look, ketchup and mustard!
It has: a thin brush, and a great formula. I could see this color popping in the summer, although truthfully, when is a good classic red not a great choice?
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Happy Ending"

It is: green with a slight gold shimmer
It has: a thin brush, and a great formula. This color really pops in the summer! Since I keep pointing out that these colors are great summer colors, want to take a guess at when I bought the most of them?
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in  "Ice Dream"

It is: Fascinating! A small silver glitter, with larger blue glitter pieces through out. This has absolutely no base color to it at all though. Where Cinderella probably should have been labeled a top coat, Ice Dream absolutely should have been.
It has: The standard issue thin brush, but a nice formula. This one builds to more coverage quite nicely. The swatch you see is two coats.
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Let Me Go"

It is: an eye catching pinky-purple shimmer
It has: this is another one of Sinful Colors' "this really should have been marketed as a top coat" colors. It's quite eye catching, but really lacks for opacity.
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Let's Talk"

It is: a beautiful royal purple. Probably one of my all time favorites from the SC line.
It has: Glossy finish. No glitter or anything of that sort.
It lasts: Like a champ. I got over a week out of this one once!
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Out Of This World"

It is: a shimmery silver
It has: a thin brush, and a quite thin formula. You could do this in one coat, and have it be a rockin' top coat. To compare, in the swatch picture, the nail you see next to it is bare (white). There's not a whole lot of difference in the two.
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Rise And Shine"

It is: beautiful, vivid teal
It has: the standard issue Sinful Colors brush, and a nice formulation. This swatch is three coats, where I typically use two. This color builds nicely. (Note: this picture is un-edited, the white just came up that bright...)
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Starry Night"

It is: black with multiple sizes of multi-colored glitter running throughout.
It has: a thin brush, and a nice formula. This swatch is two coats. This color is quite eye catching!
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Tokyo Pearl"

It is: a beautiful opalescent white.
It has: a thin brush, a bit of a thin formula. You can make out some visible brush strokes, even after the polish is dry.
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Unicorn"

It is: a bright, buttery yellow. Perfect for Spring and Summer.
It has: a thin brush, and a bit of a thin formula. The pictured swatch is two coats, and it was work to get that coverage in two coats.
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Vacation Time"

It is: a A great, neutral mauve. Not to beige, not too pink. Perfect!
It has: a thin brush, but a great formula. The swatch is two coats, and gave great coverage.
It lasts: Well! Sinful Colors can easily go a full week, chip free.
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. All my searching says is that Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.

Sinful Colors Professional in "Why Not"

It is: a bright, clear aqua blue. Great with a summer tan.
It has: a thin brush, and a powerful formula. It actually stained my nails a little bit.
It lasts: Well. Too well, I was left with a stain!
Cruelty free? : Can't guarantee. Sinful Colors is owned by Revlon, which is known to test on animals.
